eSATIS is the acronym for early Sleep Apnea Treatment in Stroke.
It is the first trial worldwide that aims to investigate the impact of immediate treatment of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) with non-invasive adaptive servo-ventilation (ASV) on the lesion extension and clinical outcome after acute stroke. Positive evidence for improvement of patients’ wellbeing due to ASV treatment would have a key impact on patient care and change clinical practice. This emphasizes the necessity for such a trial. The trial was launched as a mono-center trial and became multicenter in February 2017
